  • The Fusion History

    Fusion Electrical Projects was founded by Mark Sweeting in 2013 after spending over a decade honing his skills and building his experience and client base.

    Mark’s personal experience and background has shaped who Fusion Electrical Projects are as a company today. From winning apprentice of the year twice in a row, through to becoming a sought after contributor to many specialist projects, it’s very clear to any who observe him - Mark knows how to put in the work.

    Now we have a team of electricians providing specialist services all over New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, all who follow the same mantra and have the same work ethic Mark has brought to the company.

    Delivery

    We worked with the team at Accent Group who managed the project and the build. We handled all electrical and lighting requirements.

    Complete Fit-Out on a Deadline

    Background

    Due to unforsceen circumstances, work wasn't able to commence on this project until 3 weeks before opening day which left us operating on an extremely tight deadline.

    Scope

    In addition to the defit of the existing premises, there was a complete fit out required including;

    • New Ceilings
    • New Power, Data and Networking systems
    • Specialist Lighting Fitout
    • New NBN connection to the Server Rack

    This is in addition to the actual fitout of the store.

    Delivery

    This project required very precise project management, liaising with multiple contractors and stakeholders to ensure we would be able to stick to the schedule. Due to the tight timeline, we did not have any capacity for delay or issues.

    Outcome

    We managed to complete the project in time, within budget, which made for a very happy client!

    Background

    This store required a whole fitout, starting from a clean shop. Due to the nature of Smokemart stores, there were also some advanced requirements relating to security.

    Scope

    Starting from a completely clean shop, we needed to project manage the fitout, handle all of the wiring and lighting requirements, and also set up a new security system.

    Delivery

    We completed work in stages, liaising with other contractors as needed. We incorporated the security system into our plans and ensured wiring was installed according to industry best practices.

    Outcome

    We delivered the project on budget, in a reasonable time frame, and it looks great!

    Old Bank Conversion

    Old Bank Conversion

    Background

    Our client is a pharmacy, and was setting up shop in a former branch of a Commonwealth Bank of Australia bank! This was an extremely complex project and needed an immediate start which meant no time to research the premises.

    Scope

    This project included almost everything. We were required to;

    • Defit the old CBA
    • Install a 3 phase power service
    • Upgrade the switchboard
    • Switch to G-Meters
    • Install the lighting
    • Complete wiring throughout
    • Underground telecommunications lead in cable

    Delivery

    Due to our existing relationship with this client, they were happy to have us start immediately without even providing a quote. This project wasn't without its setbacks. As part of the fitout, we had to drill through the old vaults. These walls were 450mm of concrete slab (we went through many specialist drill bits) so had some impact on the estimated project time.

    Outcome

    Ultimately, we finished the project still under the expected cost and the client was delighted with the outcome.
